Learner

Learners participate in activities assigned to them by their educator.

Specifically, a learner can access the activities assigned to the various groups they belong to. That is, the educator assigns an activity to some group(s) of learners. All the learners of said group(s) can view and participate in the activity. Activity is assigned to a group of learners An activity is assigned to a group of learners

Login

The first time you visit the Exten(DT)² platform you will be greeted by the login page

By clicking Login the three user role specific buttons appear

By selecting LEARNER a dialog box appears with a form you must fill. alt text

Enter you learner/team ID and click OK to login to the platform.

After successfully logging in, you should see the Learner Panel page. Learner Panel Learner Panel

From here, you can:

  • view the groups you are a member of and
  • view the activities assigned to you

Groups

In the Groups page you can view an overview of the groups you are a member of. List of all groups the learners is a member of List of all groups the learners is a member of

Activities

In the Activities page you can view all the activities that are assigned to you. These are grouped into three tabs:

  • To Do: Activities that you have not started yet.
  • In Progress: Activities that you have started and have saved your progress.
  • Completed: Activities that you have marked as completed.

To Do / In Progress

In the To Do tab, click Start to get started with an activity. In the In Progress tab click Continue to continue from where you left off.

The activity window opens and you can work on your activity.

On the top right of the activity page there is a group of buttons, each of with can perform certain actions.

In detail:

Activity Instructions Click here to view the instructions the educator has written for the activity

Load & Share Click here to load and/or copy the link of any saved version of the activity

Check …

Save Click here to save what you have done so far. Every time you save, you create a new version of the activity that is accessible only by you.

Help …

Close Closes the activity. Be careful, make sure you save before closing the activity by clicking the Save button.

If you save your activity, you will notice it has been move to the In Progress tab

Every activity in the In Progress tab can be marked completed by clicking

Mark as completed.

Completed

After you mark an activity as completed it will be moved to the Completed tab. From them you can copy the link of the final version of you work on that activity and share it freely.
